History

Swedex was founded in 1983 by Åke Strand, Rolf Tengkvist and Toivo Samuelsson, all with a substantial experience of saw blades. It started in Åke’s garage and the company has since then been based in several places in Mjölby, as the business expanded. The company’s basic idea was to manufacture special adapted saw blades. Since 1997 Swedex is a wholly-owned subsidiary to Garpco. For further information about Garpco, see the Corporate group.
